Why shop Indie?
When you shop at an independently owned business, your entire community benefits:

The Economy
    * Spend $100 at a local and $68 of that stays in your community. Spend the same $100 at a national chain, and your community only sees $43.
    * Local businesses create higher-paying jobs for our neighbors.
    * More of your taxes are reinvested in your community--where they belong.
The Environment
    * Buying local means less packaging, less transportation, and a smaller carbon footprint.
    * Shopping in a local business district means less infrastructure, less maintenance, and more money to beautify your community.
The Community
    * Local retailers are your friends and neighbors—support them and they’ll support you.
    * Local businesses donate to charities at more than twice the rate of national chains.
    * More independents means more choice, more diversity, and a truly unique community.http://www.indiebound.org/stores/read-it-again

Book lovers:

You know who you are. You’re the ones with books hidden all over the house. On shelves, in drawers, stacks on the floor…Your spouse or housemate is always after you to remove a pile of books from the top of the washing machine, kitchen counter or dining room table and they are apparently not pleased when they find that in good faith and in an effort to comply with this request, you moved them all to the linen closet where you had no idea they would fall on the head of the next unsuspecting individual searching for a pillow case or towel. (Name ONE other time he actually changed a pillowcase ?) Okay that’s all me, but I can’t be the only one ?

Maybe you could give (some of) them up, knowing you will get something in return? That’s where we come in. Read It Again will give you store credit for the books you no longer need. You can use that credit to purchase … well,  more books. If you’re a hoarder or a swapper you’ll find something affordable at Read it Again.
