Cynthia D. Jones

Married for over 45 years, Cynthia D. Jones and her husband Minister Quentin “Q” Jones has hosted and spoken at retreats, conferences, and workshops across America for over 35 years. Currently, they are co-founders of ‘Real Talk”, a small group for married couples. Her goal is to mentor, teach and encourage couples to find joy and growth in their marriages by God’s design.

Cynthia also has a passion for women’s spiritual growth, self-care, and well-being. She was co-founder of “Loving Him God’s Way” a study for married women. Over the years, Cynthia has served and supported many ministries and charities. She is a Lay Speaker, founder of “Daughters of Divine Destiny” an Emmaus small group, a Stephen Minister, and on the board of a Christian support ministry, “One Hundred Shares.” Cynthia is a graduate of Alma College with a BSW. Q and Cynthia are blessed with one son, Justin, and a daughter-in-love, Brittany. Cynthia’s catalog of writing includes Christian curriculum, short stories, and blogs. “The Melody of Marriage” is her first book.

Throughout history and in nearly all cultures, music has been, and continues to play an important role in society as a form of communication. For Cynthia D. Jones, music has been a connection point, a source of love, laughter, joy, and romance for her and her husband, Q. Being a Motown born-and-bred woman, music and dancing have played a backdrop, "running parallel to the ebb and flow of our forty-plus year marriage through many seasons."

The Melody of Marriage invites married couples on a musical journey using familiar song titles, personal examples, and activities. The author gives Biblical principles for sustaining a life-long marriage with Christ as the center.
